(More customer reviews)If you can only buy one travel guide and tangible information is what you are looking for your money will be well spent on Fodor's 05 New York City book. It clearly lays out Manhattan, as well as the different boroughs, and details what each has to offer. It is also filled with lots of maps. It describes and rates shops, restaurants, nighttime entertainment, performing arts, etc. for each area. This book was a great prep book to plan our trip and it was a great reference book while in New York. As a matter of fact, I carried only a few things in my backpack everyday. They included a subway map, camera, extra film, and this book.
