(More customer reviews)My wife and I had just moved to Philadelphia and we were eager to explore the area.
We browsed the travel section of one of the local bookstores and found this gem of a guide. We hadn't heard much about the "Great Destination Series", but don't let that deter you. It has an informative history section to add some perspective to the historica places you are visiting and has some great itineraries to explore Philly and the surrounding area.
While most guidebooks will skim over Philly, this one is excellent for weekend excursions and romantic getaways at B&Bs in Pennsylvania Dutch country. I could tell the author has a real passion for his adopted home town.
I just wish they had a section on Atlantic City and the Jersey Shore. Maybe for the next edition.
