(More customer reviews)Everybody likes a feel-good story and characters that they can relate to and root for. In KISS ME QUICK BEFORE I SHOOT filmmaker Guy Magar becomes that person as he shares his own personal journey and how we was able to bring other worlds to life through the big screen.
There is something to be said about someone who is self-made. They are not just relatable but an example of what all of us can do and should reach for. Throughout the book we see Magar being able to deal with these larger-than-life situations and still allow his humanity and decency to come through.
There are even the personal slivers of his life that he reveals to us: how his mortality and that of his wife were both not only brought to the forefront but allowed them to see that just like in the movies things can quick change.
I read KISS ME QUICK BEFORE I SHOOT with a sense of reflection on wthe different milestones that I have been privileged enough to reach and how important it is for us to all take the time to appreciate the things that are important. Failure to do so will mean that we might see ourselves excel in a profession way yet who we are as a person might begin to appear unclear.
