(More customer reviews)I have come to expect expert advice in a well-planned format from Frommer. This L.A. guide met my expections. We're spending a week in Southern Cali this summer. Frommer pointed out some sights and activities we would have missed: beach festivals, Santa Catalina Island, etc. The guide also points out the best way to get to the attractions and how to appreciate them with a minimum of hassle. My wife enjoys gourmet food, so the restaurant reviews highlighted the tastiest places to eat, too.
