(More customer reviews)I bought both this guide and the DK Eyewitness Scotland guide before my trip to Edinburgh. This handy, little, pocket guide was well worth every penny. It was much more informative, had great ideas and suggested fantastic, don't miss, sights. It has everything you need to have a great trip in a city you don't know. The fold out map was a great help too.
The food/restaurant section was hit and miss.A couple of the places we tried were fantastic...a couple of other, terrible. Do not do the Mexican food in Scotland despite what the guide book says. Enough said.
This is the only book you need. It fits in your purse/backpack. We wrote all over ours before we left and hit everything we wanted to do and see.
