(More customer reviews)Unlike the Skincyclopedia, this is the type of book you'll bring in to the video store, or consult as you flip through the program guide on your tivo. So it's really great if you're not quite sure whether it's worth it to rent the arthouse flick or DVR the teen sex comedy.
The writing style is light and funny, with capsules that get straight to the information you want. I quibble with some of the rankings and some of the inclusions, and I wish some of the soft-core titles were removed to make way for more mainstream films, but these are minor issues.
All told, it's a very good reference, and a must-have for anyone interested in nudity in film.

With facts, figures, and plenty of wit, this handy exposé on exposure celebrates nudity in film. Spanning cinematic history, the films covered range from big-budget Hollywood productions to vintage drive-in fare, from independent art films to cult favorites. Each title is accompanied by a brief review, a list of actresses who appear naked in the film, and a listing of the specific body parts they display. Scattered throughout are amusing features such as mini-biographies on "Skin Visionaries" such as Russ Meyer and Robert Altman, and tips on selecting the version of a movie that contains the best nudity. An eye-pleasing design and plenty of puns make for an exhilarating reading experience and a one-of-a-kind guidebook.
