(More customer reviews)As I am fairly new to Boston and have frequent out of town guests, I have accumulated all the big name Boston guidebooks. But I mostly end up leaving the books on the shelf except one -- Frommer's. The descriptions are useful and accurate yet the book doesn't get bogged down in some of the meaningless "noise" of some of the bigger books. This book was obviously written by someone who knows Boston inside and out and who has actually been to the places she writes about (definitely not the case with some of the other guidebooks). The map fold-out at the back is a life-saver. Kudos to Frommer's and the author/editor for this great book.
