(More customer reviews)My boyfriend is stingy...er, no, he's fiscally responsible. So, he moaned/groaned when I bought C.B. NYC. "Another guidebook?!" But it was WONDERFUL and paid for itself! It would have cost more NOT to own it! And this is no different! Plus, it's designed for locals, so if you're a visitor, you end up at the local spots, which won't happen w/ most other guidebooks (except the LonelyPlanet). How to see plays on the cheap, where to drink by 'hood, how to crash in a cheap place, etc. And well-organized w/ great maps. And it's FUNNY. But it's not your Baptist aunt's book. There're bad words in it and dirty humor. Caution.
