(More customer reviews)THE LIFE AND TIMES OF A HOLLYWOOD BAD BOY, is a terrific chronicle of the '60's thru the "90"s. It highlights the music and the attitude of each of these periods quite nicely. It is also the story of a man and how he deals with his demons. It presents the highs, pun intended, as well as the lows. The consequences of excess, and the liberating qualities of moderation. It is an unapologetic embrace of the Loadie lifestyle and everything that goes with it. And, there is a moral to this story.
It is also wonderfully descriptive. After reading through a few passages, I actually felt hung over. Get a glass of water and read this near a window. You'll need to quench the dry mouth and, every now and then, you'll need some fresh air.
The characters are real people with all their flaws and duality. The kind of folks you'd hang out with if you were as cool and Mr. Mulligan. I was entertained and even moved at times. Hey! Isn't that what a book is supposed to do?
THE LIFE AND TIMES OF A HOLLYWOOD BAD BOY, is a fine read and very honest. If you've lived this life style, it's a flashback. It will bring back memories you thought were long lost. If you didn't live this lifestyle, it will make you wish you had. It is a lot of vicarious fun.
